I'm looking for a piano transcription of the "Dance of the Blessed Spirits" from Orfeo ed Euridice by Christoph Willibald Gluck. The one I'm looking for in particular, though, is transcribed by Rachmaninov. Can someone find it, please? :D

Another question: Can anyone suggest a good book on music theory for advanced grades?

Very many thanks.

My list doesn't have that piece as one of his transcriptions. Are you sure it's by Rach?
It's true that he recorded a transcription, but that one is by someone named Sgambati (http://www.telarc.com/gscripts/title.as ... EST7FG1QJ6)

Advanced theory, um.

I love the Materials of Western Music books by Molly Sclater and William G. Andrews.

They correspond as parts 1, 2, and 3. The range from basic harmony to advanced. Part 3 has an analysis section, covering lieder, fugues and sonatas. (mainly). And there is a separate counterpoint book.
