IMSLP Forums

A friend is asking me for some songs to start playing. Since I'm a pianist the only violins I know are either Vivaldi or Paganini. So... recommendations?
Or maybe a good method?

I only know chamber music for violin, but the Bridge Miniatures are excellent and simple. Reinecke also wrote an easy piano trio, and although I haven't heard it yet, I have scheduled it for a concert in November.
