Composer's Primary Occupations
I know three composers off hand who did not make their living off of music. Franz Berwald (surgeon), Alexander Borodin (chemist), and Charles Ives (insurance agent) are all composers whose primary jobs were not in music. All of them were successful with their jobs. Any more?
