Happy 200th Birthday Frederic Chopin!

Just wanted to create a little discussion of the 200th birthday of Frederic Chopin for all Chopin-related talk and happiness about his 200th birthday! Feel free to post vids, comments, favorite pieces, etc... to share about this brilliant composer.

I don't know much Chopin, but I have to say his Valse brilliante in A-flat major is a really nice piece.

I love Chopin for many reasons. I consider him one of the my top half dozen 19th-century composers for the piano (the others being Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Liszt and Brahms). Too bad most of the editions of Chopin available at IMSLP are musicologically defective or at least textually suspect and that the recent important urtext editions (Henle and the new Peters) won't be postable for some time.

Chopin is a very good composer. The polonaises are my favorites. but it's hard to beat a Victor Borge Minute Waltz. :D
