The Gavotte from Suzuki's Book Six is taken from Act Three, Scene Four of Rameau's 1745 opera-ballet "Le Temple de la Gloire" with a libretto by none other than Voltaire. The full score is available here on IMSLP. As far as recordings go, the Gavotte doesn't feature in any of the more recently recorded orchestral suites drawn from the work. The only full recording of the opera that I have been able to find is an LP recorded in 1982: CBS D2 37858 (2 LPs) with Jean-Claude Malgoire, La Grande Ecurie et La Chambre du Roy. Lydie / Erigone / Plautine: Brigitte Bellamy; L'Envie / Bélus / Le Grand Prêtre: Gregory Reinhart; Bacchus / Trajan: John Elwes; Une Bergère / Une bacchante / Junie: Isabelle Poulenard.
