Copyright status of New Liszt Ed. (Edition Musica Budapest)

Hi,

I noticed that it's not possible to download these editions since they're copyrighted in the US, and they're accordingly TB. How is this motivated? I thought the server's in Canada.

To give you the thumbnail version of what has been discussed here a number of times, our proximity to (and large amount of traffic from) the USA, plus the fact that the corporation which owns the site (Project Petrucci, LLC) is headquartered there, requires us to block any items that are protected in the USA. That includes the NLA, unfortunately.

Carolus, perhaps you could create a separate thread giving a thorough explanation of this reasoning so we can sticky and refer users when this comes up again.
