I need play Rhapsody in Blue, and Gershwin died in 1937, over 70 years ago, you must pay royalties for playing your work

Much of it is, yes, especially the orchestrations not done by Gershwin himself. Please read more about what constitutes public domain on our wiki page:

Yes, Ferde Grofé died in 1972, so if you're looking for any of his orchestrations then I'm afraid they're under copyright worldwide.

Though even the piano and two piano versions are copyright in the US. In fact, that piece (and Gershwin in general) is one of the main reasons the US copyright is as it is.
