Does any one know when Zinovij Dynov (Дынов) live. I believe he was a Ukrainian composer/cellist. Any help would be helpful.

I could not find any information whatsoever on him, apart from the fact that he arranged Handel's 'Passacaglia' for solo cello; however, based on the fact that the only two WorldCat records I could find were from 1994 and 1995, personally I would err on the side of caution (he may have been alive then for all we know, or recently deceased).

I found out that Zinovij Dynov (spelling? perhaps Zinovii Dinoff?) was the first cellist of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Kiev, he devoted his life to the development of cello technique. His works for the cello are numerous including Variations on Ukrainian themes, transcriptions of works by Handel (Variations on the Passacaglia theme), Chopin, Wieniawsky, and 24 Capriccios inspired by Paganini's violin technique.
