hello everyone, Im a librarian from an orchestra.
We will go to U.S in this winter, and performance Rachmaninoff-Symphony No.2.
as you know this piece is public copyrigt work now on IMSLP.

we dont have enough time to rental or buy,
if I download from IMSLP and make the scores by myself. is there a risk?

Explain? It was first published before 1923, the composer died in 1943, the work _isn't_ in copyright. Not sure what the risk is. The scores and parts are on IMSLP and are meant to be used where legal, and it seems that there are few areas where the work is in copyright - and the work is not in copyright in the US . So again I'm confused?

Rachmaninoff 2 is public domain in the USA and has been so for many years.
