Huang Zi (1904-1938) copyright status

I recently came across another early 20th century composer named Huang Zi. (1904-1938) I wonder why his music isn't uploaded on IMSLP. I hear that he studied in Oberlin and Yale and wrote the first Chinese Western orchestral piece In Memoriam. He technically should be in public domain in Canada and China since that copyright is life + 50 years. Like Xian Xinghai, his music most likely should be public domain in United States due to GATTS/TRIPPS unless some of his music was first published in the states.
