Just a week ago, the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany launched a digital library featuring assets from 9 libraries, 11 archives and 4 museums/collections. One of those libraries is the Landesbibliothek Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Schwerin, which holds manuscripts for a lot of the Viennese double bass solo repertoire.

Just mentioning this for any interested parties, and whether it is appropriate to create an external library template for this?

Re: A new digital library: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
How can i find something of the Viennese double bass solo repertoire in this new digital source?
Re: A new digital library: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Sorry, it doesn't seem like they're actually on the site. These are the assets contributed by the landesbibliothek. They all seem to be annual reports for now.Notenschreiber wrote:How can i find something of the Viennese double bass solo repertoire in this new digital source?

They do offer digitization services, so I suspect that digitized manuscripts will make it onto the digital library.
By viennese bass, I mean e.g. the concertos by Dittersdorf and Vanhal (and Pichl and Hoffmeister, which aren't available yet).

Re: A new digital library: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Sorry, but I found no results with contrabbasso or Kontrabass. What is your source of information? A few results with Violone, but only double-bass parts of concertos.
Re: A new digital library: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
My sources are CD booklets, prefaces to some editions, and one publishing house that I've emailed. There's some files from the library already on IMSLP (examples: Dittersdorf concerto 2, Sperger bass/viola duet, Vanhal concerto), I'd sure like to know how the uploaders got those!coulonnus wrote:Sorry, but I found no results with contrabbasso or Kontrabass. I was able to locate two sub-collections with music material at that site: bibliotheken.101ub_rostock.digimusikalien and bibliotheken.100universitaetsbibliothek.100lplymusikwissenschaft.
Re: A new digital library: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Those are the university libraries of Rostock and Greifswald, respectively, also in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It looks like they already had online catalogues, so they're further ahead in the digital age than the actual state library.cypressdome wrote:I was able to locate two sub-collections with music material at that site: bibliotheken.101ub_rostock.digimusikalien and bibliotheken.100universitaetsbibliothek.100lplymusikwissenschaft.
