This discussion has undergone without my knowledge, but if I remember correctly, IMSLP nowadays hosts XML, although you need to open zip-files to access them.
I think it is wonderful that source files are supported! It's worth a lot!
It'd be very interesting to see graphs of how the downloads has progressed. Not only of these files, but IMSLP as a whole; all pdf's; pdf's pertaining Beethoven etc and of course the total of different file types available. Is there any possibility doing that today?
MusicXML files should be available along with the scores!
