New work page

The recent version of the work page has added a background color to the "Work title" and "Alternative title" fields in the "General Information" section. On some rare pages, eg
http://imslp.org/wiki/Transcriptions_-_ ... Ferruccio)
this makes it more difficult (at least for me) to read the title, because there are links in the title, turning some of the title text to blue. (These are transcriptions, so the links are to the original work's page and the original composer category.) Is this because I am partially color blind, or is it my browser? In any case, I'm not convinced the background was a good idea, at least for rare special (unanticipated) cases like this. Any suggests for how to deal with it, eg, maybe the links should be removed and put somewhere else on the page?

You're right, I had overlooked this eventuality. Better now?

I was going to remark on this newly adjusted section of the work page as well. Could the dark red background be lightened a bit, or given some other lighter color? The black letters of the regular text are difficult to read against it.

There should be no black letters on the red background, it should be all white. Is it just on some particular page, or do you see it everywhere like that? In the latter case, what browser are you using?

EDIT: I've been testing various browsers with the sample in my current "sandbox", and they all display white text on the red background (so far, I have tested: MSIE 6, 7, 8, Firefox 3.0, 3.1, 3.5, Chrome 2.0, 3.0, Opera 9.64, Safari 3.2, 4.0 on Windows XP; Safari 4.0 on Mac OS X; Firefox 3.5, Opera 9.64, Konqueror 4.2 on Linux).

Do you use some special Wiki preferences and/or browser settings that might override the default display?

Now I see white letters on red in logoff mode.

When I'm logged in, the letters are black.

I'm assuming you have set the skin to Cologne Blue, which overwrites the styles for the table. That's why I was asking about wiki settings. Tried to fix it, but doesn't seem so easy. I'll try to look into it at some later point.

Maybe it would be easiest to follow the suggestion of making the background color lighter so that links and dark text show up. (More like the top band for the files. I don't have any trouble seeing the blue links on those.) Robert

Did you also set the skin to Cologne Blue? Otherwise all text and links should be white.

Yes, the skin is set for Cologne Blue on my preferences.
