Hello,

What a great site this is!

I was wondering if it would be possible to show something like the number of downloads on a particular page (or a certain pdf file) or even the total number of downloads from this great site?

The site https://urresearch.rochester.edu/index.jsp shows something like this.
"Statistics
Total Number of Downloads from Repository: 946224
Downloads from Repository this Month: 41363"
Just a thought...

Thanks,

IMSLP already has statistics on total downloads from IMSLP per day. Not sure if the process would be the same for a counter per file, (and I doubt it will) I'm not sure.

Here it is

I expect this to be difficult to do, but I am far from an expert so I may well be quite wrong.

Download count per file would normally be pretty much hell to do... especially since I won't be able to use the wiki system (looking at the page view count implementation in the wiki itself shows how elaborate something seemingly simple is). It may be possible if I use the Webalizer output and do some tricks with that, but overall it will be hard, and so I would put this on low priority.

However, this feature request thread is for a total download count and not a download count per file, so I guess IMSLP already has this :)
