Busoni, Turandot

Post by musicologyman »

I noticed that someone has posted the orchestral score of Busoni's opera Arlecchino. I'd love to see the score of his opera Turandot up here as well--at least a vocal score!

We have a vocal score of Turandot, but it was published by Breitkopf in '46, so it's out of bounds. We have some scores of the incidental music, published by Breitkopf 1906-1911.

Jim, by my investigation that vocal score was actually first published in 1918 and only reissued in 1946, so it is in fact public domain in the US. Before anyone gets their hopes up, however, let me say that because of the arranger's date of death (Jarnach, 1982) it is ineligible for posting to IMSLP.

I was just going by what the catalog record said. I haven't looked at the physical item, so it could very well be.
