Re: "IMSLP's biggest holes" - Most Wanted Scores
Actually, it's a pity you didn't hold off just another week or so on Mahler 3 and 4 to scan the critical editions, since these are now subject to the (EU) regime and as a result the critical editions of symphonies 2 and 7 are no longer blocked. This is a development that I hadn’t really anticipated.
This (EU) tag also applies to Robbins Landons’ edition of the 107 symphonies of Joseph Haydn, the post-1963 volumes of which are now available for download, and the vast bulk of the Neue Mozart-Ausgabe could be hosted by IMSLP-EU without restriction of downloads.

Full scores of Nielsen's Syms. 1, 3, 4 and 5. I'm surprised nobody's brought these up here yet. These are some of the most significant works for which IMSLP has parts but no full scores.

I'm on it. Look for them coming in the next few days, hopefully.

All six of Nielsen's symphonies are up now, including better quality versions of the two already posted.

Terrific. Nice work!
Re: "IMSLP's biggest holes" - Most Wanted Scores
Are there part's available for Nielsen 6?

Re: "IMSLP's biggest holes" - Most Wanted Scores
We actually discussed this on the copyright board. Orchestral Music Library neglected to include the parts with their Nielsen set even though the piece is PD in the US. Perhaps they didn't because the piece was written after 1923, but as it's available from Kalmus, the copyright apparently was not renewed. So unless someone has these lying around somewhere, the answer is no.
Re: "IMSLP's biggest holes" - Most Wanted Scores
I think that one of the most important holes we have is the absence of decent scans of the parts (preferably either in the complete works edition or in Peters) for most of Beethoven's piano trios and string quartets. Piupianissimo provided us with wonderful scores, but I only wish someone could do something like that for the parts, because many of the files we have are of dubious quality at best.

Note: jgjgjg's typesets for the Beethoven SQs are as accurate and nicely typeset as one could hope for.
I agree with KGIll.

Jgjgjg is wonderful in terms of accuracy. The only real problem I have with his typesets is that he sometimes tends to use a rather inordinate amount of blank space. The first movement of Op.59 No.2 in the first violin part takes him 7 pages, while in my Peters copy it's 3. This makes it comparatively difficult to use in performance.
Re: "IMSLP's biggest holes" - Most Wanted Scores
Thank you for this!!!! But it seems that one page in the third movement of Nr. 3 has not been scanned in full... The pagenumber is 107 (27 in the corresponding PDF)madcapellan wrote:All six of Nielsen's symphonies are up now, including better quality versions of the two already posted.

Yep, about 2 and a half bars are missing (bar 179, and 186 and the first half of 187) from the left margin - it would be possible to work out what's missing from the parts (and the staves of the first system are easily identified from the previous page; the second system is a little bit more challenging).

Full score of Grieg's Symphonic Dances, perhaps his best purely orchestral piece. This is yet another work for which IMSLP has parts but no full score. Dover has a reprint.
