Staff Paper
Staff Paper
I realize this topic has been explored in the past, but for some reason has died. I think it would be a wonderful addition the site. I know Feldmahler is partial of the idea. For some reason it hasn't been done though. I'm just broaching the issue (again)...
Re: Staff Paper
There are countless sites out there where free staff paper is available (and create-able). I don't really think it fits in with the design of the site to include it.
Re: Staff Paper
So what if there are other sites that include it? We could have historical staff paper on our site from different eras! I doubt any other website has options where you can get staff paper from the 17th century, or late 18th century! How wonderful a thing that could be!
Re: Staff Paper
Oh, HISTORICAL staff paper. You left that part out I think that would be interesting to see.
Re: Staff Paper
I think it would be a nice addition to IMSLP. I'm unsure how to approach making a category for it. I can't see using a composer category for it, but what other option is there? I feel, especially if it's historical staff paper and such, we would need a description of each kind, and something linking it to a PDF format file (of course). The standard composer pages work beautifully (maybe), but it's slightly inappropriate. Thoughts?

Re: Staff Paper
Since it would technically fit into neither "scores" nor "recordings" categories, perhaps a new category could be created, like "miscellaneous," and all extraneous music-related items on this site, like staff paper, graphics, historical documents, etc., could be placed there?
Re: Staff Paper
Why was this post moved to this forum?
Re: Staff Paper
Maybe I'm crazy then. It doesn't need to be in the Score Requests forum, in any case.
Re: Staff Paper
That's where it was originally posted :p
Perhaps it should have been if feature requests/bug reports. In any case, I don't see how Score Requests is inappropriate.
