Trios for pf, vl, fl

Post by organgrinder »

Hi all,

Would anyone have access to any scores for the above instrumentation or indeed music which could be easily adaptable to this insturmentation?

Not overly difficult - manageable but which also sounds impressive.

Cheers!!!

If you would like to play a composition of Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, please look at this arrangement:

Wonderful music, not to difficult! :)

There is also a lovely trio by Bonis, which we have, and also by Cui. Have a look at this page:

Here are several works that we have digitized: https://urresearch.rochester.edu/search ... ctionId=63. A lot of works for 2 violins, 2 oboes, or oboe/violin, and piano, also will work with a flute substitution.

@Lothar

I had no special piece in mind, just want to point your attention to baroque pieces. But as I realized now, (nearly) all pieces in the list has no realized cembalo or piano part,
probably by copyright reasons. So my hint was not very helpful, excuse me.

Welcome, no problem. :)

Curious, that this nearly six years old thread has become alive again in this short time. :o

(Ah, now if it had been piano, violin and clarinet there's even a trio (the Verdehr) devoted to commissioning and recording new works for that ensemble :) An example worth following up where possible, I hope, I sometimes think... )
