Meeres Stille, First Version

Post by gacl »

Hello,

As far as I've find out the first version of Meeres Stille (D 215a) was published in 1952; which means it can't be posted here. Can I get a confirmation on this? Thanks.

Actually, it would be totally fine to post here, assuming it's an urtext-style edition. It would be free in Canada, since it was published over 50 years ago; similarly, it would be OK in the EU because the maximum amount of copyright protection under editio princeps statutes is 30 years (and no country opts for more than 25). The only country IMSLP worries about in which it conceivably be under copyright is the US, but I could find no registration of this work with the US Copyright Office, so it's most likely fine there as well. Upload away :)
