Playford/Division violin
Thanks a lot - this wasn't quite what I was looking for but I am glad you found it just the same! (I only had an early edition of this particular work). The Division Violin itself uses a lot of the material from the Dancing Master aned includes a number of Divisions on the basic tunes.carmar1791 wrote:I don't know if it's the same but try here

Playford's Division Violinist
Hi, If you are affiliated with a university, you may be able to log on to English Books Online at http://eebo.chadwyck.com/search. If you search for "Playford" and "Division" you will find a scanned-in 1685 edition provided by the Bodleian Library. Have fun playing!

Many thanks - unfortunately I don't qualify for access to this site. In the meantime I have purchased the 1654 facsimile from Broude. Well worth it.
Best regards
