I have recently found this score at the SIPCE (Information System for the Cutural Heritage of Ecuador) and I wondered about the author of the lyrics, wich is called Guillermo Burbano and I know that he was commander on the army. I suppose this piece was published near 1930, as I know that the pasillo of Ramos "Ecuador y Colombia" (Op.165) was publisher near that year. I'm seriously considdeing on uploading this piece to PML-ASIA as the author of the lyrics died on 1964 bnut I wanted that the admins can see what I found about him
I found this info about him:
He was named Gabriel Guillermo Burbano Rueda and was born in Carchi on 1891 or 1892 and died in 1964. He was commander at the ecuadorian army but he was also poet and some of his works are "En voz alta" (title for the "Colección Rumichaca No 27"), "Pro patria", Poesía en la jura de la bandera del Batallón Imbabura N°9 and the lyrics for "El Ejército Nacional" Op.168 of R. Ramos.
