Vocal Requests

Post by Furioso »

I am interested on this: Jacque Offenbach's "La belle Helene" - VOCAL-score.

Especially I am interested on the tenor-aria "Au Mont Ida"

Hope someone else is too...

Thank you for commenting!

Yes, you are right IMSLP already has published a score of Offenbach's "La belle Helene". However, this score that is available now is only for solo piano. In this score there are no words at all. So, incase it is possible for IMSLP to publish this work I recommend also publishing a vocal score. Offenbach-singers would appreciate it!!!

Donizetti's "Don Sebastiano" - VOCAL-score would surely be 'neat' to have.

Please do not create individual threads for individual works. You can create a single thread that contains all your requests, and then go add them to the wishlist on the wiki here: http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Wishlist
Furioso, please change the title of this thread to something general like "Vocal Requests".

Hi there. Ok. It looks like I have (had) serious problems with making of the wish list in here to satisfy your wishes. I try to do as you have told. However, at the moment I don't know how to change the name of an thread already started, so I leave the job to you.

If you like, you can wipe out all the wishlists I already have made, I don't mind.

Through my user experience I could see that it might be usefull if there was a possibility to write wishes in the individual IMSLP composer- and maybe even in the individual work- pages. In that way the users of IMSLP might more easily find the accurate wish-list-juggestions and discussions about them. In the individual work-pages there is mentioned the possibility of discussing about the work. Just as an thouhgt: maybe there could also exist an area for making wishes of publications on the works of this composer, or of certain work of this composer?

Thank you very much for this already very good database.

Furioso, the best way to make requests is to: 1.) put the request on the wishlist (link in my previous post) for the appropriate composer and you may simultaneously 2.) start a single thread if you wish to request multiple things at once. Ideally, what we need to do, and this is something I've mentioned to the other admins, is create a wishlist link for each composer on their respective page. We could possibly do this with a bot, but if not we'd need a volunteer to link the existing wishlists with their respective composer, then use the bot to create a link on every other composer page.
