Composed year 1887, probably never published. Even tracing a copy of the manuscript somewhere would be great.

Trying to find the score for a future performance. A conductor contacted me trying to locate it. He is aware that Mascagni is still under copyright here in Europe, so there is no expectation that it is free.

There is a reference here
http://www.treccani.it/enciclopedia/pietro-mascagni/
where the Requiem is indicated as composed in 1902 for the death of King Humbert I
another more precise ref :
http://books.google.it/books?id=TSV6rDm ... to&f=false
(see attachment)
another quotation says that he conducted his Requiem August 9th 1900 in Rome (impossible because the King was killed on August 28th)
no trace of any score in the italian databases

Thank you, although I'm actually looking for the W37 requiem, composed in 1887:

No trace of it on worldcat and on the Italian OPAC
Trying to find any other clues...
