Hello!

I'm unfortunately not able to reach any library that would have a copy of any piano works by Paul Le Flem (1881-1984) or to buy them. He is unfortunately very unknown a composer though has far more an original voice than innumerable composers more famous. He lived a long life and especially compared to that his output is rather small, though. I've become exceptionally fond of his Avril – I think it stands well even alongside e.g. Debussy's L'isle joyeuse. Such pure joy is seldom achieved.

Four of his major piano works are now available on Editions Henry Lemoine at https://www.henry-lemoine.com/en/catalogue/ with search "Le Flem": Par landes (published 1907), Vieux calvaire (p. 1910), the suite Le chant des genêts (p. 1910) and Avril (p. 1910). Additionally, there is the suite Sept pièces enfantines (p. 1911), which is currently out of stock. The booklet of a Naxos recording (http://www.naxos.com/catalogue/item.asp?item_code=GP695) of his piano works notes Édition mutuelle Paris to also have published Vieux calvaire and Le chant des genêts, and additionally Par grèves (p. 1907). In YouTube videos there are slightly different years for the publication of some of the pieces listed but those given on the publisher's website are likewise given by Naxos. They should be more reliable sources.

I would also rate very high in French repertoire of the genre his Fantasy for piano and orchestra, which is according to a Naxos recording booklet (http://www.naxos.com/catalogue/item.asp ... ode=1C1123) published 1911 by EMI Publising France.

Is there someone who would have access to Le Flem piano scores and be able to help me and others who have the delight of having discovered this exciting composer? Thank you for your attention.

I have this with IE but it is an old version. Try Firefox or another one. Or try the Rochester link from http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Universities_and_Libraries
