Does anyone know this organ music

Post by dwgmuse »

I am looking for a particular piece of organ music that I saw in a music library many years ago, but failed to follow through. This composition was written in Late Romantic style and written for full organ. The right hand had a descending pattern of consecutive fifths, while the left hand had an ascending pattern of consecutive fifths. The pedal, if I recall correctly was static. The only repertoire that I can think of that comes close to this piece is the organ part of the second (or third) movement of Ralph Vaughan William's seventh symphony. If anyone is at all familiar with this music that I have described, please write to David, ASAP, at pipeorgandude@cox.net. Thank you, group. :D

All I can say is look at the works of Max Reger and Josef Rheinberger.
