I know this isn't exactly major, but in order to save unnecessary edits (and wasted server space), could there be some automatic method of correcting the link you put in when you're creating a composer page? To illustrate:
-Putting in an external link- you have to just put in the link w/out formatting, but an easy mistake could be to put [ ] around it just like you do when you're editing
-Wikipedia links (more confusing)- it formats it like an internal link ([[ ]]), but it's not clear if you're supposed to put in [[ ]] in the actual box...or just [ ]? Putting in merely (for instance) wikipedia:Franz_Schreker into the box on the creation page causes the template to screw up because it formats it as an external link (it just puts [ ] around it), and there needs to be [[ ]] around it with | separating the displayed link text from the actual link.
Again, this is not really a huge problem, but I at least mess up almost every time I create a composer page with a biography link...
Alternatively, I guess a 'preview' function on the creation page could be helpful.

It's there... the preview.
http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Composer_Te ... al_Linking. It's pretty visible, as if you just clicked on "How to edit this template"....

But specifically when the page is being created, won't it still put extra brackets around it (e.g. make it [[[wikipedia:Franz_Schreker|Wikipedia]]] if you just enter two on each end) as a result of the current automation?

Well, that's actually part of the template. It doesn't put anything around anything.

Well... this is actually an interesting observation. I had slight concerns about this too. I can change it such that it will automatically put [[wikipedia:<page name>|Wikipedia]] around the entry if it does not detect a [ at the beginning of the string, and if it does it leaves it alone.
This current behavior is just a holdup from the very very old days (2006) when the composer template creator was written.

Re: [FEAT] Composer biography link autocorrection
Actually I take back what I said above.
Apparently I've used the add composer page so little that I forgot it separates the link from the link description. I still want to make it more intuitive, but this is not going to be such an easy fix. I will have to think more about it.

Re: [FEAT] Composer biography link autocorrection
Maybe just in case, an extra notice could be put in the template saying how exactly wikipedia links should go in that box?...
