Ferdinand Ries: Clarinet Sonatas

Post by simplicissimus »

Are there any PD editions of the following sonatas by Ferdinand Ries? The clarinet version is preferable, but the other is good, too. Thanks in advance.

Sonata for clarinet/violin and piano, op. 29
Sonata for flute/clarinet and piano, op. 169

I find several editions of these on WorldCat, all from the 1967-71. They all must come from public domain sources or there wouldn't be multiple editions, but unless you can reliably remove all editorial content, they wouldn't cound as public domain.

The ICA archives has an edition I didn't find on WorldCat: a Simrock edition of the op.29, that is apparently really old and fragile. this one may be public domain, so if you are a member, you could possibly borrow it and scan it to upload.
