Hodie - A Christmas Cantata

Post by amati1588 »

Hey, I have some scores and Orchestral Parts of Vaughan-Williams Hodie. These are from Oxford University Press, does anyone know when the Copyright end?

Hodie was composed 1954, so if the parts were published relatively quickly by OUP, then the copyright terms for various places are as follows:

Canada: already in the public domain since 2009
US: 2050 at the very earliest (OUP would have renewed copyright on the work, thus a 95 year term)
EU: enters the public domain after 2028

The scores and parts could be hosted by IMSLP, but they would be barred from downloading.

Regards, Philip
