blank page when selecting 'edit'

When I try to edit a page that I have just created I get a blank page with only the Italic/Bold/... select bar. What I type does not echo nor can I see where it lands. When selecting 'preview' I can see what I typed but this working blind makes it impossible to do effective edits. What is wrong?

A few things might help us identify the problem:
1. Which operating system and browser are you using? Where are you located (continent should be fine)?
2. Which page?
3. Does this happen on pages that you did not make? When did this problem start?

For now, just make the edits in something like MS Word and copy and paste later.

Possibly its something to do with JavaScript support in your browser. Have you more than one web browser installed on your system? If so, have you tried both browsers to see whether they behave the same or differently? Have you tried editing at Wikipedia or another Mediawiki website, and whether the IMSLP wiki is unique in causing this problem?

Also worth experimenting with your editing preferences to see if that makes any difference. (I like having the "Show preview on first edit" and "Show preview before edit box" options ticked on.
