Looking for some clarification before I add this composer (and probably change his name on a dozen work pages as editor). The composer is Wilson G. Smith (1856-1929). LOC Authorities list Wilson Smith as the authorized heading. Everywhere else he seems to be known as Wilson G. Smith which is how we have him listed as editor of a number of works. So, when I add him shall I keep the "G" or drop the "G"?
Thanks,
Cypressdome

Re: Composer name question
I would say to drop the G. You might check on VIAF to see if the other big national libraries treat the name similarly first, however.

Re: Composer name question
Thanks Carolus. It seems only one other national library (Israel) lists Smith in VIAF. He's listed there as Wilson G. Smith. I guess we shall defer to the LOC.
