I was looking through Special:WantedCategories, since we are still very short of arrangers, editors, and various others in the new categories, and I was expecting to find uncreated categories here in need of filling out. However, the bulk of those listed are daughter categories, e.g.
Category:Lichtenberg, Johann Conrad/Librettist doesn’t exist – but Category:Lichtenberg, Johann Conrad does.

If the daughter categories (where the parent exists) could be omitted from flagging the “wanted categories” this would be handy… but it’s an extremely low priority request.

Yes that is a little inconvenient, but you can use http://imslp.org/wiki/Special:WantedPages instead to pick out people who don't yet have their own categories. (Due to a bug there are few 'old' categories for instrumentation in that list as well that can be safely ignored.)
