Tag block
I wonder if it might be possible to impose some sort of special permission page for the tagging system. This way users who are not "librarians" couldn't change tags, and it would reducde the errors (even though there are very few anyway).
Re: Tag block
An interesting idea, but (rather unfortunately) perhaps one that would have been more realistic to discuss before the project had started. It might indeed be a benefit, but the tags are currently just an ordinary line of text on each page. How would one go about separating them all out?
Re: Tag block
And has there been evidence of others fouling up these tags?

Re: Tag block
Not very much at all, and usually it’s been picked up post-haste by one of the “tag team”.
I suppose one way this could be made to work is that if Feldmahler added a separate place for tags to be stored (much the same way as the copyright tags for IMSLP’s copyright review, or the file quality ratings, are not actually part of the Wiki markup, but “live elsewhere”), then as a “batch” all the existing tags that are currently stored as Wiki markup could be “uploaded” into the new system, and then the Wiki markup could be deprecated in exactly the same way that the “Genre” markup was – the presence of the Tags line would be ignored by the fte template.
Cheers, PML
