Slow website or loading errors

Well... the current host I'm on is horrible in many ways, not the least being the almost complete lack of technical support (which is supposed to be "24/7", whatever that means to them). Also, apparently the MySQL server refuses connections when it's overloaded (which happens quite often), and PHP also restarts when it overloads (again quite often, in which case you'll get a blank website).

However, salvation is not far away! I will change hosts very soon (<3 months), so until then, please bear with this horrible host.

Is the site down? The connection problems got only worse last weeks, and now I get an error 400.

Yes, yesterday was quite bad. I did submit a ticket, but as usual, it did nothing. The 400 error is probably PHP throwing a tantrum (downloading normal files are fine).

I just discovered something worse. I tried to upload a few files, and got "file empty" errors at first, but apparently that was also a problem with the host, since I don't get them now (uploading the same files). So if you ever get a "file empty" error, try to upload again :/

the new host is a big improvement. I haven't got a delay, error, ar whatsoever up to now!

Great! It was quite a bit of work (three whole days of it in fact), but glad it made a big improvement

I can second Peter's comment. The links, etc. all work much better since you went to the new server. Thanks for taking the time move the site, it helped a great deal.
