Someone on LilyPond user mailing list was looking for the score
"5 kleine Charakterstücke" of the composer Wilhelm Posse (1852-1925).
Another user replied he found it on archive.org.
Could it be added on IMSLP? I cannot find a copyright date in the PDF
scan, nor in the provided informations. Here is the relevant link:

Thanks in advance,

The only other date that is relevant is the date of first publication (posthumous publications don't go by the death date of the composer).
WorldCat gives the publisher info as "Mainz : B. Schott's Söhne, [191-?]". In other words, the publishing date is somewhere in the 1910s, which is during Posse's lifetime.
Another way of checking is comparing plate numbers; this music has the plate number 24774. By comparison, the Schott publication of Elgar's Salut d'Amour has a slightly later number of 24787, which was published in 1889.
The probability is that the 191-? print was a reprint, and that the original publication date is closer to 1889.
I would like to hear from one of the copyright reviewers, but it looks like you're OK to upload this.

Steltz is correct. The work was probably issued in 1889. The work is public domain worldwide.
