Franz Bendel's Op.14
This work purports to be based on three "favourite" pieces by Mozart. I certainly don't recognise the originals of any of them. Does anybody know on what Mozart works Bendel based this opus, or is it just a charming pastiche passed off as an arrangement of originals in the same way as Kreisler was to do some years later?
Re: Franz Bendel's Op.14
Having viewed them, I would guess the author wrote the three pieces in the style of Mozart...

Re: Franz Bendel's Op.14
Remember though that many works were attributed to Mozart in the 19th century that are no longer considered authentic, too... (and Op.14 No.2 does have a similar opening- for a few notes, but more than might be- to that of the finale of the violin sonata KV 481 )
