Intonazione

Post by steltz »

I came across this page:

http://imslp.org/wiki/Intonazione_del_p ... MSLP307989

and according to Music Uniform Titles list "intonations" is to be used as the "distinctive title", defined as "originally an introductory toccata-like piece for keyboard that sets the pitch for a following sacred vocal composition; may also exist independently; use for intonazione".

Should I add this to our list?

This seems to have been added to the MLA list] fairly recently (i.e.in the 4 years since our own list of categories was compiled). There seem to be others too, which I'll look at, but in the meantime feel free to add "Intonation/Intonations" to the list.

Can we look at "In Nomine" as well? In the MLA list it is listed as a "type" and not a "distinctive", but it is in bold, so I think that means we should consider it? The immediate tagging page is:

http://imslp.org/index.php?title=In_Nom ... ction=edit

but there are lots of others, too.
