bc vs cont

Post by steltz »

I just noticed in the tagging list that there is a warning next to the "bc" tag "(do not confuse with cont for "contralto")."

If you go down to the vocal tags list, there is no "cont" for contralto, and I specifically remember tagging contralto as "alt" because there was no tag for contraltos. Is this an omission in the list? If so, I don't have a snowball's chance now of remembering what I tagged wrongly . . .

No, there is no "cont" tag, but it could appear as an abbreviation in scores. Looks like my attempt to avoid confusion managed to cause it. Well done Davydov
