Poulenc - L'invitation au chateau
Hi,
I do have the sheet music of the piece listed above in beautiful scan quality (Piano, Violin, Clarinet).
It was very hard to aquire (Piece is not being sold, thanks to the rediculously restrictive heirs of poulenc (for example to prove my point see http://www.moz.de/artikel-ansicht/dg/0/1/1048477). anyhow. `This piece being PD in Canada now - Can i upload it the next time i'm in canada?
for youtube video see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bKGDtM ... 1F&index=1 (not the very best rendition, but generally OK)
greetings

It is not sold, but is is rented: http://www.durand-salabert-eschig.com/c ... php?id=200 So we can't say that Poulenc's heirs want it to remain uncovered for ethernity.tilmaen wrote:(Piece is not being sold, thanks to the rediculously restrictive heirs of poulenc
Summary of this page: The Russian stage director Dmitri Tcherniakov changed the scenario of le dialogue des Carmélites into a less dramatic one. You may find Poulenc's heirs ridiculous, but here this is another topic!tilmaen wrote:(for example to prove my point see http://www.moz.de/artikel-ansicht/dg/0/1/1048477).

Sorry, I read too fast! Poulenc's version is only instrumental.
Re: Poulenc - L'invitation au chateau
Tilmaen, when might you be in Canada next? I am interested in using this piece on a concert, but it's in about a month's time. Thanks.

I'm a violinist from Italy and I'm searching for this piece everywhere. Unfortunately piece is not sold here in Italy and not even on web. Can you please send the score to my email? It will be such a pleasure! I should have it tomorrow, but it's okay if you sent me later, whenever you can. Thank you very very much and sorry for my english mistakes:)

[edit Hobbypianist]: no file sharing, neither here in the forums nor in the IMSLP wiki. If a work is public domain it can be uploaded to IMSLP so everone can enjoy it. Otherwise you must try to locate it in libraries or buy it.

Re: Poulenc - L'invitation au chateau
Well, not buy it, as that's not possible, but we take your meaning.
A word to the (maybe??) wise earlier poster: just because Poulenc's heirs are not doing as pleases -you- does not make them "ridiculously" restrictive.

Thank you in advance for your reply. There is no special copyright for items that are on rental - which legally is typically defined as a type of sale.

"As long as the work/arrangement/edition in question is public domain,..."
Which this is not.
There is no -additional- copyright applying specifically to rented items, but all other rules still apply.
