Engraving software list
I miss an IMSLP page with information on engraving software used for IMSLP new engraving editions. I vaguely remember that there once was a page like that. Am I wrong?

Re: Engraving software list
OK - how would I know about this software survey if you didn't tell tell me? I don't find any links to it on IMSLP pages. Maybe I'm just blind?
My main engraving software, MUP was only partly represented, so I've added it to the table of software packages. But that was not that easy either. From the edit page of http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Typeset_Music_formats I realize that it references a template, {{Music Formats/By formats}}. There are no links (any more!) to templates. So I needed to use the IMSLP Google search to look up the string 'template', click on one of the search hits and replace the template name with that of {{Music Formats/By formats}}.
However, how would I create a link to another software package (http://quickscript.sourceforge.net/index.html) which is essential as a layout tool for preparing my IMSLP contributions? Its author, a retired computer science professor, made his package publicly available on sourceforge on my request. I owe both him and the users of my IMSLP contributions an easy-to-find pointer to this software.
All in all - I do think there should be an IMSLP menu item linking to a survey of software which is relevant for the project.

Re: Engraving software list
Perhaps you might want to update also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compariso ... orewriters and https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_von ... programmen The imslp list cannot accomodate too long comments about each software.

perhaps http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Manuals? But should be more accessible from http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Contributor_Portalreccmo wrote:All in all - I do think there should be an IMSLP menu item linking to a survey of software which is relevant for the project.
