Intrusive advertising on IMSLP covering links

Post by felixblumenfeld »

I wonder if something could be done about the intrusive and superfluous advertisements that appear at the top and bottom of the pages after clicking to initiate the download of a specific work. The ads that appear at the bottom of the IMSLP Recent Additions List are even more intrusive. Every time I have scrolled to the bottom and have to click More..., the ad appears and covers part of the link, which forces me to reduce it each time to continue. This is even worse when reading the page on an Android tablet because the ad covers a full fourth at the bottom of the browser window and the More... finds itself completely obliterated (see attached image). Holding the tablet in portrait orientation does not help at all. Thanks in advance for considering the matter.

The only way to remove ads on here for yourself is to subscribe to IMSLP see here: https://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Subscriptions
