Michael Finnissy and John Stump
Hello! Could you please recommend some resources or books etc. which talks about how to deal with, comprehend and practice the extremely complex polyrhythms in English Country Tunes by Michael Finnissy and Faerie’s Aire and Death Waltz by John Stump(Although people say it is a joke piece, I don’t think it is a nonsense completely, like everything is still written with details, with precise markings and so on.) Thank you very much!

Re: Michael Finnissy and John Stump
For the Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz, I'm certain that the correct solution (if there is one) is to stop thinking, and literally do everything that's in the score – especially making sure that, when the instructions contradict themselves, you must do both at once.
I don't know Finnissy's music at all; I've heard a little bit but I didn't understand. Polyrhythm is a simple concept, and keeping that conceptual simplicity in mind as you're playing may help put the tricky execution of it into perspective.
