Terrible user-submitted parts
There's a set of parts on Ottorino Respighi's Vetrate di chiesa that are bad enough to be unusable. I don't mean "these look bad" but rather "they're full of errors, mislabeled parts, missing sections, etc." I know at least at some point in the past we could go to each file and add the deletion template to it and someone would eventually be by to take care of it, but the old instructions don't seem to work anymore (it says there's no such file but gives you the option to upload) and doing so 20-ish times to remove all the parts seems a little much. Is there a way to mark an entire set of uploads for deletion?

Re: Terrible user-submitted parts
Is there a current method or tool available to mark an entire set of problematic uploads for deletion in the repository, rather than having to individually add a deletion template to each file? If so, could you provide guidance on how to efficiently manage this process? fnaf
Re: Terrible user-submitted parts
Per policy, we do not delete files unless there is a direct improved quality replacement ready. Plus for any CC licensed files, it is irrevocable to delete these files off of imslp.
Re: Terrible user-submitted parts
We don't delete files due to authors requesting to have them removed because they regret submitting them and want to revoke a license. We have the right and ability to remove files if they are useless garbage. There is a difference.

Re: Terrible user-submitted parts
I understand that "questionable" is fine in the absence of something better, but yes, as DBMiller suggests, these files are actively harmful to anyone trying to perform the piece. Thankfully this wasn't one I ran into myself, but a librarian friend of mine in another orchestra did. He had to spend a bunch of time and effort patching things up and dealing with the embarrassment of having used these parts to save some money for his organization.
At any rate, that answer, while nice for clarification, does not answer the question we posed: what's the easiest way to go about marking these files? As I said in the OP, the stated instructions don't seem to work at all.

Surely it would be within policy to add a Misc. note about the issues with those parts, as well as giving them low ratings.
