Safeguarding

Post by Fynnjamin »

In amongst several of his music uploads, IMSLP user Natan Fiedorowicz has uploaded scans of sensitive medical documents to do with his personal health treatments - these include names and contact details of several people including doctors and relatives; in addition, in several of his texts (some written on music scores) he accuses and names people and institutions (and businesses) of abuse or mistreatment. He also uses numerous inflammatory and derogatory remarks in his works. This is highly inappropriate, a data protection issue, a safeguarding issue, potential for defamation, which has potential for legal consequences - I don't know where to begin - it is just not the platform for this material. Until I noticed this, the few things I had seen led me to assume his uploads were the harmless productions of an eccentric, if slightly disturbed mind. This has now gone too far. Here are a couple of examples, but one would have to comb through them all to remove the irrelevant non-music content: https://imslp.org/index.php?title=Book_ ... id=4293760 (Book of Natan), https://imslp.org/index.php?title=The_S ... id=4564759 (The Sodomese Love Cow)

In some cases, there are hundreds of pages - scans of hospital documents, lots of rambling google reviews.

Let me limit myself to a brief one without off-topics: https://imslp.org/wiki/Partita_No.13_in ... %2C_Natan)

I could provide a much smaller pdf by converting his grayscale to monochrome. But I'm too lazy to convert the entire repertoire! I'll read it anyway :-)
