The files on IMSLP are currently given a unique number, six digits long. We have reached over 995 000, which means there are fewer than 5000 numbers before we get to seven digits.
Just checking — is there a plan for handling this on the IMSLP infrastructure? Will anything break? Two things that come to mind for me are (1) the system to generate links to specific files (with the gear icon), and (2) the tool for checking traffic to a given file.
I haven't seen any discussion of this, so I thought I would raise it while there are perhaps a few weeks before this milestone is reached.
Running out of file numbers for scores?

As far as I know, I believe there isn't a limit on the file numbers, so no worries.

Well we now are in the seven digits now for uploads (although the actual number of available downloads is far lower and the number of actual scores is drastically lower than that due to deletions) and it seems fine.

Re: Running out of file numbers for scores?
I uploaded yesterday a score with the number 1.000.000, not by accident. I think, it is the millionst, which has ever been uploaded here. Isn´t this a milestone?
By the way, the half million has been reached in 2017, more precisely in 2017/11/9. (Same day and month as the million and same uploader!)
