Corporate authorship, 1957 arrangement, composer died 1905

Post by Fugalicious »

Hi, I'm looking to check on the legal status of arrangements of two different pieces by a composer who died in 1905, Franz Strauss. Both works are originally for horn and orchestra and have been arranged for horn and piano.

One arrangement is from 1937 with no arranger identified in the score.

Another arrangement is from 1957, again with no arranger identified. This is labelled as the first publication of this work, posthumously.

Are either or both of these OK to post on the site?

Thanks, Sallen, I'll get access to the scores and try posting in the next few months.
