I was asked to edit the PDF by a music camp of the following score so they can more easily print it and read it: https://clara.imslp.org/work/422301
It's a scanned booklet where the pages are all out of order, so I'd be changing the PDF into collated single pages, plus separating and collating parts. Would it be helpful to upload this as a different scan of the same edition, or should I just not do that because I haven't added any other value to the file? I figure other people could benefit from this work, quick and easy though it may have been for me, because I was asked to do it by someone who doesn't have the tools.
Thanks for your advice! I have gotten a lot of value out of IMSLP and would like to contribute if I can.
Worth it to reupload an "improved" scan?

Your clara page is also here: https://imslp.org/wiki/2_Sonatinas,_Op. ... Friedrich) Eventually all booklet scores like this one should be replaced with their regular form. It is the user's job to create a booklet if he wishes and has the right printer https://imslp.org/wiki/Help_talk:Downlo ... _pdf_files

This problem has already shown up. Read https://imslpforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=5895
("I wish this kind of scanning would be forbidden")

Yes, if you can reorder the pages to be sequential, that would be a very helpful contribution. Note that you can replace the existing PDF with the new, improved PDF as well.noisy_doll wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2026 2:01 pm I was asked to edit the PDF by a music camp of the following score so they can more easily print it and read it: https://clara.imslp.org/work/422301

Edit: Another note about this particular edition. The current policy on IMSLP is to upload separate PDFs for the score and parts. So, you can replace the existing file with a "complete score" (without the parts), and two new PDFs, for the violin and cello parts.

But left the "facing" AKA booklet version. Some may find it useful.

I have added a discussion to https://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Community_ ... on_Project
so next time you can "improve" such a Merton Project score.
