Orchestrations

Post by coverman »

I have orchestrated some piano music for a small orchestra I conduct
(size 2,1,2,1 2,0,0,0 and strings)
Recent pieces include Ravel Menuet sur le Nom de Haydn and a piece by Martinu
I could download score and parts (in pdf from) if there is interest out there and it passes any copyright hurdles.
Users can be free to add any extra parts that they may need if they have a similar but not identical set-up.

I'd advise you release it on a Creative Commons licence, preferable (judging by what you have said) on one that allows derivative works.

The Ravel would be PD, the Martinu would not (until 2010) should you decide to submit these to IMSLP.

Technically, orchestration it would not be legal without permission.
