Moderator: Copyright Reviewers
It is quite sad to see this happen, but I can see it only as an attempt on their part to try and forestall the ultimate failure of their business model. I would expect any short-term gain (if any) would soon be erased by people realizing what they are. Remember, Wikipedia also has various clones that have google ads stuck on the pages. Especially in this case where IMSLP has vastly more traffic than SMA I don't think they will have any long term effect on IMSLP.
And they are most likely also breaking the law with some of the files they host and likely even their ridiculous blanket claim of copyright, so I would encourage anyone whose copyright the site has infringed to send e-mails and make them realize that what they did is not welcome. I will also send them a letter pointing out their illegal activities including copyright infringement, false advertising, and etc, and legal remedies available to IMSLP.

As far as i can telll, most of googles ranking is based upon a system weighing incoming links against outgoing links, producing a value similar to SUM OF INCOMING LINKS PAGERANK/OUTCOING LINKS, as such, effectively changing your page position is quite difficult, especially since wikipedia pages have a very low page rank. The only practicable way of doing this is to persuade other people to link to us, permenant page links, that do not die, like news stories. Im sure lots of people here have websites, perhaps linking to us somewhere on your site would help.
