There have been a few instances of spam recently. Some went undetected for several weeks. Please keep an eye on the edits by new users (via "Recent changes"). A recurring pattern (but not the only one!) is users signing up and as their only edit creating a user page (often in Russian) with spam links to external sites.
Please report any further spam you find in this thread, so that we can evaluate the situation and decide if we need some tools to keep it under control. Thanks.

It seems spammish for someone to link to a website, in lieu of contributing content to the IMSLP.

Well, I wouldn't classify it as spam, as it doesn't seem intended to promote a site or business. That said, I'm not sure if/how such links should be inserted. We have a policy not to link to external sheet music sites, but we do link to biographies, recordings, etc.
We should decide whether we want such links, and if so, what should be the standard format and location for them. It may be worth opening a separate thread for this. Thoughts?
