PODIUM: a free browser-based PDF score reader/annotator with IMSLP support

Post by loganmill »

PODIUM: Sheet Music Studio is a a free, open-source PDF score reader I built that might be useful for other IMSLP users. Its browser-based, so it runs identically on desktops, laptops, iPads, iPhones, Chromebooks, and Android devices. Privacy focused: no ads, no login, no registration, no installation required: just use it!

With the latest update, v2.0, there's an optional browser extension that lets subscribers right-click any PDF link on IMSLP (i.e. the download arrow) and open it directly in PODIUM (Chrome/Edge, desktop/laptop/chromebook only).

The viewer itself is 100% browser-based and focused on musicians:

* Multiple layouts: realistic book simulation / continuous scrolling / full score table view
* Annotations: free drawing, rastrum tool, full SMuFL symbol support
* Works offline as a PWA (good for practice rooms or during performances with no Wi-Fi).
* Practice tools: Metronome with animated conductor, samples-based digital piano with tuner, and more
* Run PODIUM in multiple tabs and easily copy pages between scores
* Load/Save Scores from local storage, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive

It's completely non-commercial. I'm just looking to share it with other musicians who rely on the IMSLP library.
